Night Blade is a good read and a worthy sequel to Heart Blade, advancing and deepening the series story without bogging down or muddling it, which is quite an achievement. Just a great fun to read!Īll in all, I really, seriously, must recommend this book and series to other readers! I want more people to discover this intriguing, delightful and enthralling series. The world-building and mythology: I love how everything is well established, but also being revealed in little parcels of information. I will say that the start was a little slow for my taste, but once it gained momentum and everything started coming together, it was hard not to keep on reading. The story contained drama, a little romance, personal discovery and moved along at a fantastic pace. The plot: In a nutshell - reveals and an awesome HEIST! Yes, you read that right, a HEIST! I'll leave it there, but yes, it was as awesome to read as you're thinking. Del, Ash, Alex, Raze, Camille and Ben, all so unique, distinct and fascinating. The characters: Now that all the characters are established, the changing POV's were an absolute delight to read and it was so easy to follow everyone's journey, struggles and emotional arcs. To keep it short at the start - if you love urban fantasy with drama, action, romance and fun mythology, then the Blade Hunt Chronicles is definitely for you! Night Blade was an absolute blast to read! Taking everything I loved about Heart Blade, then amplifying it by 1000 and that was my reading experience of Night Blade.
